Size & Care Guide
When it comes to barefoot shoes, finding the right fit is essential — especially when ordering online. Here's how to measure your feet and keep your Pluma Footwear looking great.
How to Measure Your Feet
- Measure the length — place a piece of paper against a wall and stand with your heel touching it. Mark the end of your longest toe and measure the distance from the wall.
- Measure the width — find the widest part of your foot and measure across.
- Measure both feet — it's common for one foot to be slightly larger, so go with the larger size.
- Check the size chart below — if you're between sizes, we suggest sizing up for extra comfort, especially if you wear socks.
Tips for Finding Your Perfect Fit
- Sock thickness — if you typically wear thicker socks, size up slightly to accommodate.
- Foot swelling — feet can swell throughout the day, so measure in the afternoon or evening for the most accurate fit.
- Width — if you have wider feet, look for styles with extra room in the toe box.

Care Instructions
Basic Cleaning Routine
- Remove any loose dirt or debris. Take out the insoles and laces to clean them separately.
- Place the shoes, insoles, and laces in a mesh laundry bag to prevent damage during the wash cycle.
- Use the delicate or gentle cycle with cold water and a mild, dye-free, scent-free detergent to protect the material and avoid skin irritation.
- Reshape the shoes and air dry at room temperature — avoid direct sunlight or heat sources, which can deform or damage the materials. Make sure insoles and laces are fully dry before reinserting.
Odor Prevention
- Air out regularly — remove the insoles and let both the shoes and insoles air out completely in a dry, ventilated area.
- Use baking soda — sprinkle a little inside your shoes overnight to absorb moisture and neutralize odors, then shake it out in the morning.
- Essential oils — a drop of tea tree or lavender oil on a cotton ball, left inside your shoes overnight, keeps them smelling fresh.
What to Avoid
- Hard scrubbing — can damage flexible materials.
- Direct sunlight — can weaken the materials over time.
- Harsh detergents or bleach — stick to mild cleansers.
- Long soaks — avoid soaking, as it may cause mold; use an anti-mold spray if needed.
